Specialty mugs can be found in a number of places. Antique, novelty and second-hand stores offer mugs of every kind. Garage sales offered at homes and those that are put on by churches, community groups and organizations will often have specialty mugs. Don't forget county fairs, seasonal shows and shows for boats or motor homes. Even ads in newspapers will offer sets of mugs they have gathered in the past and want to sell. Specialty mugs that will fit in your car cup holder can be found at auto supplies, car, truck and motorcycle repair shops.
Collectible Mugs. Exactly what is collectible is sometimes difficult to identify, but understanding one's recipient brings the possibility of filling a gap in someone's collection. For example, collectors of that perky mouse with big ears can be gifted with a variety of mugs. One such mug uses just the mouse's pants with legs with one arm as the mug's handle. Even television shows have their mug following. "I'm not crazy. My mother had me tested," "You're in my spot," "Knock, Knock, Knock, Penny?" and "Soft Kitty" mugs celebrate The Bang Theory while even the show Dangerous Catch offers coffee mugs.
Commonly personalized objects are personalised mugs, clear glass coffee mugs, balls, T-shirts, key-chains etc. One other common form of personalization is youngsters storybooks - whereby the protagonist is the result of what the child change into, with the image and identify of the kid personalized.
